Katherine Detectives have charged a 31-year-old male in relation to a vehicle crash that occurred between two cars involving two Israeli and two French Nationals in Katherine on Sunday morning.
At approximately 9:45 am a white Toyota Corolla sedan, driven by a 31-year-old male, was travelling along Third Street and proceeded into the intersection on Giles Street, failing to give way and subsequently colliding with a Toyota Hiace Van that was travelling inbound.
The impact caused both vehicles to travel over a curb and into a fence.
Police and NT Fire and Rescue members attended the scene and proceeded to cut a 31-year-old female from the Hiace van.
She was conveyed to the Katherine District Hospital and then taken to Royal Darwin Hospital where she remains in a stable condition with back injuries.
Both the driver and 31-year-old male passenger in the Corolla as well as the 29-year-old male driver of the van were uninjured in the crash.
The offender was later charged with drive motor vehicle cause harm, drive vehicle recklessly and fail to give way and is to appear in Katherine Court today.
