Six men will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today after they were arrested in relation to the stabbing deaths of two men at a remote Central Australian community.

Police received a report just after midnight on Wednesday December 23 that two men, aged 46 and 33, had been fatally stabbed.

Police investigations led to the arrest of six men, all of whom have been charged with:

Murder (two counts)
Aggravated assault (three counts)
Unlawfully damaging property (two counts)

They will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
