A 35-year-old male is in custody today after using a sledge hammer to smash a window in the Smith Street Mall last night. At about 11.00 pm the man smashed the front window of the Smoke Mart shop in the mall. Once the alarm activated the offender fled the scene.

Thanks to the witnesses the offender was located and arrested.
