It is alleged at about 1:40 am a 44-year-old woman was woken by a man of aboriginal appearance kneeling on her bed holding his hand over her mouth.

The woman screamed and the offender then fled the scene.

The offender is described as a young male of aboriginal appearance, slim build wearing a black and white striped T shirt and blue denim shorts.

Police are urging anyone that may have witnessed any suspicious activity or may have further information to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
