Unlawful entry - Jingili - charges

Members of the Commander's Tactical Team and General Duties have apprehended a 15-year-old male in relation to an unlawful entry that occurred yesterday.

It is alleged that the 15-year-old, in the company of co-offenders, unlawfully entered a residence on Rothdale Road in Jingili at approximately 12:00 pm.

It is believed that the youths consumed a quantity of alcohol before stealing a mobile phone and a sum of money.

Police were called when neighbours witnessed the youths inside the residence, however they fled moments later.

Members located the male at Casuarina Secondary College soon after.

He was apprehended and subsequently charged with enter a dwelling with intent to commit crime, stealing and damage property.

He was then bailed to appear in the Darwin Youth Justice Court 3 March.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan said that they are expecting to locate and charge the co-offenders in the coming days.
