Members of the Commander's Tactical Team are investigating an unlawful entry that occurred early this morning at the Darwin Ski Club, Conacher Street, Fannie Bay.

The offenders gained access to the premises after damaging the front door and once inside removed the plastic cover to gain access to the safe door of the ATM.

They then began to cut the door of the safe open with an angle grinder but when they were disturbed by two females, they fled the premises without any cash or property.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area around 5.45 - 6.00 am this morning and saw any suspicious persons or activity, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at http://www.nt.crimestoppers.com.au/.
