Police are investigating the unlawful entry and squatting of a residence on Dickward Drive.

It is alleged that the residents returned to their Fannie Bay home after some time away and witnessed two females inside the premises, before they fled the scene on foot, heading towards Kurringal Flats.

It is believed that the squatters gained entry through the removal of louvres, vandalised the property and proceeded to reside there temporarily before being disturbed at approximately 1:50 am this morning.

A crime scene has been established as Detectives and Forensics personnel attend the scene.
