Police are appealing for public assistance after 200 metres of electrical cable was stolen from an Alice Springs business during the long weekend.

Police received a report yesterday morning of an unlawful entry at MG Electrical on George Crescent.

It appears the offenders used bolt cutters to cut a chain and padlock to gain entry into the yard sometime between 3pm on Friday April 10 and 9am on Tuesday April 14.

Once inside the premises, offenders have stolen a number of items including 200 meters of electrical cable.
