Police are investigating an unlawful entry in which a large sum of cash was stolen.

Police received a report of an unlawful entry at the Mbantua Store on Gap Road just after 2.30 this morning.

It appears offenders have forced their way into the building and stolen three cash registers containing money, two books containing customer key cards and cigarettes.

One of the cash register draws was recovered by police earlier today.
