Unlawful entries - Darwin

Police

Members of the Youth Crime Unit arrested a 22-year-old male in relation to an unlawful entry that occurred at the Casuarina Shopping Village last night.

At about 11:50 pm it is alleged that the 22-year-old male attempted to gain entry to the Woolworths store at Casuarina Shopping Village by smashing a large glass panel.

A near by police patrol apprehended the man hiding in nearby bushes at the Cas Com car park.

He was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital where he refused treatment and was further conveyed to Darwin Watch House. He is expected to be charged with criminal damage and unlawful entry.

Promis 4284391 - At about 4:20 am this morning police were called to another unlawful entry at a business in Coolalinga.

It appears the offenders used a white extra cab utility to force the double front doors of the business open. It appears the three males then exited the utility and stole an amount of cash and four pocket motor bikes from the display unit.

The offenders are described as:

Approximately 16-years-old, of aboriginal appearance with dark brown hair. Wearing a white shirt, white pants, white socks and white shoes.

Approximately 14-year-old of aboriginal appearance with dark brown hair. Wearing black gloves, a black shirt with a white motif on the right side, white sneakers, dark coloured pants with a white stripe on the side and a camouflage coloured baseball cap.

Approximately 16-years-old of aboriginal appearance with dark brown hair. Wearing a red shirt with a small white motif, thongs and dark blue pants.

Police are investigating the matter and forensic officers on the scene to assess very strong avenues of enquiry.
