Two high-range drink drivers aged 18 and 21 were among those arrested. They returned blood alcohol readings of .205% and .223% respectively and both will face court on numerous charges including high range drink driving and driving unregistered and uninsured motor vehicles.
Among other drivers apprehended at the weekend was a 27-year-old woman who was driving a Ford Falcon north on the Stuart highway on Sunday. The vehicle had eight occupants and the driver was found to be driving with a blood alcohol level of .128 percent. She was charged with driving with a medium range blood alcohol content and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
On Saturday a 29-year-old man had his car confiscated for 48 hours after he was found to be doing burnouts in front of a CBD unit complex .
