Three apprehended - charges

Police

Operation RADO members have apprehended an adult and two youths in relation to suspicious behaviour in Leanyer yesterday morning.
At approximately 3:30 am members received reports of suspicious persons when a home owner was returning to his residence on Clarence Street and allegedly witnessed a youth running from his house.

He remained in his vehicle and contacted police.

Members arrived a short time later and apprehended three people, a male aged 21 and two females aged 15 and 14.

Police located spanners, screw drivers, gloves, torches as well as a bottle of alcohol in their possession which was later established to have been stolen from the residence earlier in the evening.

All three offenders were conveyed to the Darwin Watch House and have since been charged.

The 21-year-old male was charged with unlawful entry at night and stealing and was bailed to appear at a later date.

Both the 15 and 14-year-old are to be considered for youth diversion.
