A 25-year-old man will be summonsed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court in relation to traffic offences. 
At about 2.00 am this morning police observed a white Nissan Skyline sedan allegedly driving at a speed of 140 kph in a 90 kph zone on the Stuart Highway in Berrimah. Police apprehended the vehicle containing the 25-year-old male driver and an 18-year-old male passenger. A radar detection device was located in the vehicle and seized. 
The 25-year-old male driver will be summonsed for drive in a speed zone at a speed more than 45 kph faster and drive with a radar detection device in operation. He was also issued with a defect notice in relation to the vehicle.
