Police are calling for witnesses in relation to a structure fire that occurred in the early hours of yesterday morning.

At about 4:25 am yesterday Police and Fire and Rescue personnel were alerted to a structure fire at Darwin High School.

Chubb security staff arrived on the scene in response to the alarm and attempted to extinguish the fire with a dry chemical fire extinguisher.

Upon arrival members found a fully secured demountable alight with the fire contained to the northern side of the structure. Fire and Rescue members extinguished the blaze.

It appears the offender/s unlawfully entered the premise by removing a louver and unlocking the door.

A black Dell computer was stolen from the scene.

Police and Fire Investigators are continuing enquiries.
