Police



It is alleged the 37-year-old male was leaving Lee Point Coastal Reserve along Lee Point Road when the incident occurred.

At about 11:30 pm the victim was walking outbound passing the caravan park when he was approached by two males in a utility.

The males exited the vehicle and proceeded to assault the man before fleeing with a yellow and purple back pack containing the victim's personal belongings including an amount of cash.

The offenders are described as

Caucasian male
Late 20's early 30's
Approximately 177 cm tall
Blonde dusty hair

Caucasian male
Late 20's early 30's
Approximately 172 cm tall
Brown dusty hair

The vehicle involved in the incident is described as a utility with a flat steel tray back possibly a Toyota Landcruiser four wheel drive.

Police urge anyone that may have witnessed any suspicious activity in that area or who has further information in relation to the incident to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
