Police have arrested two people in relation to a stolen motor vehicle incident that occurred some time between Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 April.

It is alleged that they attended the residence in Coconut Grove and stole the white Toyota Hilux utility, containing approximately $20 000 worth of personal property and a bank card.

It is also alleged that later Sunday morning the card was used to the value of $2 400 at a nearby shopping centre.

Members followed up on several leads and on Monday 27 April located the vehicle in Nightcliff and subsequently located the two offenders, a 20-year-old female and a 29-year-old male in a Rapid Creek residence.

Both of them were charged with criminal deception (x3) and receive stolen property.

The 20-year-old is bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court on 12 May and the 29-year-old male was remanded to appear today.
