Police patrolling our streets were kept busy over night with drink drivers.

Between the hours of 1:00 am and 3:45 am this morning Police apprehended six drink drivers throughout the Darwin and Palmerston areas.

The ages of the drivers ranged between 13 and 38, recording readings from a 22-year-old male in the city returning a 0.049 percent reading to a 34-year-old male that returned the highest reading of 0.213 percent on Chung Wah Terrace in Palmerston.

A 21-year-old male learner driver, apprehended in the Narrows, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.099%.

Of those, four were charged with drive medium range blood alcohol content and one with drive high range blood alcohol content.
