Three males and one female have been conveyed to the Royal Darwin hospital following a single vehicle roll over which occurred about 40km from Batchelor at 6 to 6.30 am this morning.
It is alleged that the vehicle, a Subaru Impreza was travelling at speed along Litchfield Park road when it hit an embankment after it veered onto the wrong side of the road causing the vehicle to roll multiple times.
Batchelor Police believe the occupants of the vehicle are all around 18 - 20 years old. The woman was airlifted from the scene with suspected internal injuries.
The male driver and two passengers were taken to Batchelor clinic however one of the men was flown to Royal Darwin Hospital shortly after. The driver and the other male were then conveyed to the hospital shortly afterwards by St Johns ambulance.
Territory Watch Commander Daniel Shean said that investigations are continuing into the crash and that drivers need to remember the devastating consequences of speeding.
"In this crash, the driver has put himself and three others in serious danger by speeding. His car is a write off and he has hospitalised three of his friends. Drivers need to slow down and take more responsibility for their own safety, and the safety of their passengers" he said.
