Two people have been taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment after they were involved in a single vehicle rollover this afternoon.

Police received a report of a car crash on Reedbeds Road just after 2.30pm today.

The male driver and the woman passenger were taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating as to whether speed or alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Territory Duty Superintendent Jamie Chalker said police are warning drivers that drink driving will not be tolerated.

"There was a high number of drink drivers apprehended over the weekend and to have an incident such as this continues to demonstrate people simply aren't getting the message, said Superintendent Chalker

"People need to realise their actions cannot only hurt themselves but others as well."
