Two males aged 20 and 16 have been charged in relation to the theft overnight of seven vehicles from Atlas Auto Cars in Winnellie.

They have been charged with:

Unlawful use of a motor vehicle
Damage property - concealing a crime
Drive unlicensed (16-year-old male)
Drive licence suspended (20-year-old male)
Trespass

The 16-year-old male was remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Youth Justice Court tomorrow (11 March) and the 20-year-old male was bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court on 26 March.

Police have now recovered six of the seven vehicles, valued at approximately $16 000, that were stolen from Atlas Auto Cars.

The outstanding vehicle is a white Toyota Camry station wagon with NT registration 935-365 and police urge anyone who sees this vehicle, or knows its whereabouts, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Members of the Commander's Tactical Team are investigating the incident and further arrests are expected.
