Rock throwing – two arrested

Police

Two men aged 24 and 25 were arrested last night in relation to an alleged rock throwing incident.

At about 7.20 pm police received a report of people throwing rocks at passing vehicles from a bus stop on Trower Road. Police arrived quickly and located two males and they were subsequently arrested.

Four vehicles were damaged by rocks causing dents and one vehicle had a rear passenger window smashed which showered a three-year-old child seated in the back seat with glass. Fortunately no-one was injured.

The two men were conveyed to the Darwin Watch House and the 25-year-old has been charged with recklessly endangering serious harm and unlawfully damage property. He was remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court today. The 24-year-old man is also expected to be charged today.
