Operation RADO – arrests

In two separate incidents on Saturday members of Operation RADO arrested and charged two men.

At about 4.20 am members located a white Holden Commodore at the Caltex Service Station, on the corner of Chung Wah and Temple Terrace, which had earlier been stolen from a residence in Dwyer Circuit, Driver.

The 39-year-old male driver was arrested and conveyed to the Darwin Watch House and later charged with criminal damage, unlawful entry, stealing, driver motor vehicle while unlicensed and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court today.

The second incident occurred about 4.00 pm when members apprehended a Mitsubishi Magna sedan on Somerville Gardens Road in Parap. The 38-year-old male driver who was found to be driving unlicensed was arrested and conveyed to the Darwin Watch House.

He was charged with driving unlicensed and bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court on 3 February.
