A man is in Adelaide hospital after being injured in a single motorcycle crash yesterday.

Police were called to Ross Park Oval just after 8pm after receiving reports of someone riding on the oval.

It appears a 21-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle and hit the soccer goal frame while riding on the oval.

St Johns Ambulance was called and the man was taken to Alice Springs Hospital and later medivaced to Royal Adelaide Hospital.

The man is in a serious but stable condition with neck injuries.
