Motor Vehicle Crash - Cox Peninsular Rd

At 7:30 pm last night Police were advised of a serious motor vehicle crash on Cox Peninsular Road about 46 kilometres from the Stuart Highway.

The green Commodore station wagon collided with a bull which subsequently mounted the bonnet of the car causing extensive damage. As a result the vehicle veered off the road and hit a tree 40 metres from the road.

NT Police, Fire Service and St John Ambulance attended the scene and had to cut the two occupants from the vehicle before being conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital.

The 47-year-old male driver remains in ICU in a serious condition, and the 51-year-old female passenger also remains in hospital.
