At approximately 9.15 pm last night Police, Fire and St John personnel attended the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Amy Johnson and McMillans road.

A Nissan Tida and a Toyota Rav4 were involved in the accident where one of the vehicles burst into flames. Two females aged 21-years-old and 47-year-old were conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with minor injuries.

The Fire Service cleared the road of debris and oil and the road was reopened once deemed safe in consultation with Department of Planning and Infrastructure representatives.

Investigations are continuing.
