Lajamanu police have seized a large quantity of alcohol after conducting patrols of the Lajamanu access road and surrounding areas.

Approximately four kilometres outside the Lajamanu community a vehicle was noted parked on the side of the road with nil occupants. After a brief search of the vehicle and surrounding bushland a total of 16 cartons of beer and two one litre bottles of spirits were located.

Three males located in the area are due to appear in Lajamanu Court on 23 June with possess alcohol in prescribed area offences
