Members of the Commander's Tactical Team are investigating the theft of a silver Holden Grange stretch limousine that was stolen from a premises in Cullen Bay early this morning.

At about 5.00 am offenders unlawfully entered the premises on Cullen Bay Crescent and stole the 2005 limousine. At about 5.45 the vehicle was spotted by police in Palmerston which resulted in a short pursuit before the limousine was abandoned at the intersection of Catalina Road and Elrundie Avenue.

Two males then left the area on foot with police apprehending one of them. He was arrested and conveyed to the Darwin Watch House.

Investigations are continuing to identify and locate the second male.
