Police are investigating an incident in Alice Springs yesterday in which a woman was indecently assaulted.

The 33-year-old victim told police she was walking along Babbage Street around 9am towards the Northside shops when she was approached by a man who indecently assaulted her.

The victim yelled at the offender and pushed him away and reported the incident to police a short time later.

The offender is described as a man in his 20s of Aboriginal appearance with a stocky build and wearing black and grey shorts and a dark short-sleeved collared shirt.
He was also wearing a black and white bandana and white sneakers.
