A 41-year-old woman from the Utopia community has died following a single vehicle rollover which occurred 20km North of the Plenty highway at 4.30 pm on Friday afternoon.
Police at Harts Range received a report of the accident at 6 am on Saturday morning. At this stage it appears the 44 year old male driver has swerved to avoid wildlife causing the Holden commodore to roll once landing on its roof.
The driver and the two other male passengers aged 46 and 39 were taken to the Alcoota Health clinic by the Alcoota ambulance and later flown by Flying Doctor to Alice Springs.
Crash investigators from southern traffic operations are travelling to the scene and will examine if speed or alcohol were contributing factors and if seatbelts were worn.
