Police are calling for witnesses in relation to the fatal crash that occurred at approximately 8:30 pm on Monday 19 January.

A 35-year-old female who was lying on the road was struck by a red Toyota Corolla sedan as it travelled on Bagot Road in the outbound lane from Darwin City.

Police, Night Patrol and St John Ambulance members attended the scene a short time later however the woman was declared deceased at the scene.

Anyone that may have been in the vicinity around 8:30 pm on Monday night, or who may have information relating to the incident, is being urged to contact police on 131 444.
