Police have established that the male that died in the vehicle crash on Amy Johnson Avenue at approximately 6:50 pm last night was 24 years of age.
It is alleged that the driver of the blue Holden Commodore Utility was driving inbound on Amy Johnson Avenue at speed and has crossed into the outbound lane where it has collided with a white Toyota Hilux.
The 24-year-old driver of the Commodore was thrown from the vehicle on impact and died at the scene.
Fire and Rescue members and Northern Territory Emergency Service volunteers also attended the scene and cut the 51-year-old male of the Toyota Hilux from the vehicle.
St John Ambulance members conveyed the 21-year-old male passenger and the 51-year-old male driver to Royal Darwin Hospital, where they remain in a stable condition.
A 21-year-old male that police were seeking assistance from, after his blue utility was seen to have been involved in the crash, has since contacted police and is assisting with enquiries.
