Drugs seized – Nhulunbuy

Police

Nhulunbuy police arrested two females yesterday in relation to drug offences.

It is alleged that a 25-year-old was witnessed selling cannabis, in the car park at the IGA Supermarket, to a 21-year-old before leaving the area.

Members located the 21-year-old and subsequently seized a small bag of cannabis that was in her possession.

Police later located the 25-year-old in a vehicle travelling along Arnhem Road and conducted a search, in total locating 120 grams of cannabis, a sum of cash, 8 tablets and a small amount of yellow powder (believed to be Methamphetamine) and an LSD tab.

She has since been charged with:

Possess trafficable quantity of cannabis
Unlawfully supply cannabis to another
Possess cannabis public place
Possess LSD public place

She was charged and bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court 18 June.

The 21-year-old was charged with:

Supply cannabis to another (x5)
Possess trafficable quantity of cannabis
Possess MDMA trafficable quantity
Possess LSD trafficable quantity

She was bailed to appear in the Nhulunbuy Court 7 July.
