Police have arrested a 21-year-old female in relation to drug offences in Nhulunbuy.
After receiving information members attended the Gove Airport yesterday and conducted a search on a 21-year-old female arriving on a flight from Cairns. Located in the search was 118 grams of cannabis on her person, 200 LSD tabs (1.5 grams) in her baggage and a sum of money.
Police believe the approximate street value of the drugs seized would reach $18 000.
Further searches were conducted on a residence in Nhulunbuy, locating 2.8 grams of cannabis seeds, smoking implements and a carton of fireworks.
The female offender was charged with:
Possess cannabis - trafficable quantity
Possess a dangerous drug
Possess lysergic acid (LSD) - commercial quantity
Possess thing to administer dangerous drug
She was bailed to appear in the Nhulunbuy Court on 01 September.
A 22-year-old male has been summonsed in relation to the possession of fireworks.
