The woman attended the airport with the intention to board an afternoon flight to Groote Eylandt when she was stopped and searched by police.

Three packages containing cannabis were located in a small handbag that was in her possession.

The female was arrested and later charged with possessing a trafficable quantity of cannabis and unlawfully supplying cannabis to another.

The woman was bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court on 29 December 2009.
