A 45-year-old woman was arrested in Katherine on Monday afternoon after a search warrant was executed on a residential premise.

Detectives searched the location on Lindsay Street, subsequently seizing 4.5 grams of methamphetamine and over $1500 worth of cash.

The woman was charged with possess and supply of a trafficable quantity of methamphetamine and receive property in the commission of an offence.

She will appear in the Katherine Court at a later date.

Detective Sergeant Henrys said "Supply of this type of drug carries heavy penalties, dependant on circumstance the penalty can range from five years to life imprisonment and we will continue to actively target suppliers in our community".
