Members of the Remote Community Drug Desk and Dog Operations Unit yesterday conducted routine checks of passengers and baggage on a flight bound for Groote Eylandt.

A Drug Dog gave a positive reaction to a 50-year-old man and a subsequent search located 162.1 grams of cannabis on him wrapped in small bundles of electrical tape.

The man will be summonsed to appear in the Alyangula Court for possess Schedule 2 Drug - trafficable.
