Members of the Drug Intelligence Unit, Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk, Dog Operations Unit, Property Crime Reduction Unit and General Duties' police executed a search warrant at a residence in Alice Springs on Friday 23 January.

As a result of the search police located a total of:

337 clip seal bags of cannabis
A further 1 306 grams of loose cannabis
12.4 grams of methylamphetamine paste

The 30-year-old male occupant was arrested and later charged with possess cannabis - commercial quantity (1 498 grams), supply cannabis and possess methylamphetamine - trafficable quantity (12.4 grams). He was bailed to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrate's Court on 17 February.

The potential street value of the cannabis seized is $37 450 and the potential street value of the methylamphetamine is $9 920.
