Katherine members apprehended ten drink drivers over night.

A 29-year-old female was stopped after she failed to give way to police then travelled on the incorrect side of the road. The driver then failed to provide a breath sample for analysis. She was charged in relation to the following offences:

Fail to provide breath for analysis
Drive a motor vehicle while disqualified
Fail to give way a T-Intersection
Fail to keep left on carriageway.

A 22-year-old male was arrested after he was stopped for a random breath test and provided a positive result of 0.191 percent. He was charged in relation to the following offences:
Drive with a high range blood alcohol content
Drive whilst disqualified.

A short time later police then apprehended the same vehicle and arrested a 25-year old male. The man provided a blood alcohol content reading of 0.219 percent and was charged in relation to the following offences:
Drive with a high range blood alcohol content
Drive whilst unlicensed.

A 36-year-old male was stopped for a random breath test and returned a positive blood alcohol content reading of 0.199 percent. The man was arrested and charged in relation to the following offences:
Drive High Range BAC
Drive whilst Disqualified
Drive Contrary to Defect Label.

Another man aged 37-years-old was apprehended by police following a complaint from a member of the public. He was subjected to a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.291. The man was arrested and charged with drive with high range blood alcohol content.

An 18-year-old female was arrested at a random breath test after providing a positive blood alcohol content reading of 0.159 percent. She was charged with driving with high range blood alcohol content.

Another female aged 30-years-old provided a positive reading at a random breath test station. She provided a medium reading of 0.101 percent she will be summons in relation to drive with a middle range blood alcohol content.

A 31-year-old male was apprehended by police in relation to his manner of driving. He provided a positive blood alcohol content reading of 0.218 percent and charged in relation to drive with high range blood alcohol content and drive whilst disqualified offences.

A 17-year-old zero condition male driver was stopped by police due to faulty tail lights. He provided a blood alcohol content reading of 0.025 percent and will be summonsed in relation to traffic offences.

Another man aged 23-years-old was arrested at Tindal he returned a blood alcohol content reading of 0.147 percent. He will be summonsed in relation to drive with medium range blood alcohol reading.

Duty Superintendent Rob Farmer said, "It was great work by the Katherine members to get these drunk drivers off the street, what is disappointing is that it is clear that some people are still not getting the message, particularly the four charged with driving whilst disqualified as they have previously been before the courts for drink driving offences".
