At approximately 1.51 am this morning a 26-year-old male was apprehended on Hughes Avenue in Palmerston after proceeding through a stop sign. The driver of the Jeep Wrangler returned a 0.111 percent blood alcohol reading and was issued a defect notice.

The man will be summonsed to appear in Darwin Magistrate's Court a later date.
