Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to an incident that occurred at the Beachfront Hotel last night.

At about 9.45 pm six patrons became involved in an altercation which resulted in a 26-year-old man suffering lacerations to his forehead after allegedly being struck with a chair.

The man was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment and investigations into the alleged assault are on-going.
