Detectives from the Major Crime Unit are investigating the death of an 18-year-old male that occurred in the early hours of this morning.

Police were notified and arrived at the residence in Moulden a short time later.

St John Ambulance members also attended and conveyed the male to Royal Darwin Hospital, however he was declared deceased upon arrival.

A 27-year-old male is currently in police custody assisting with enquiries.

Investigations into the incident are continuing and further information will be provided when available.
