Concern for welfare – Dundee Beach

Police have mounted an air and ground search after a report that an elderly man had gone missing at Dundee Beach this morning.

The man's carer raised the alarm this morning when she went to the 82-year-old's house around 7am and found him gone. She told police she had last seen him when she helped him to bed at his Maritana Road home about 11.30pm last night.

Police mounted an air and ground search this morning in an effort to find the man who is described as being a Caucasian male, 152 centimetres tall. The search is being co-ordinated by members of the Territory Response Section. Police said they are concerned for the man's welfare as he also suffers from Dementia and could be in a confused state.
