Police are investigating a vehicle fire that happened on school grounds overnight.

Police were travelling to Braitling Primary School just before midnight in relation to an unrelated matter and on arrival they found the fire brigade attending to a vehicle fire.

The vehicle, a blue Ford Falcon, was fully ablaze by the time the fire service attended the scene.

The vehicle had been left unattended at the school car park.
