Boy assaulted Update #1 comfit– Alice Springs

Police have released a comfit of a man alleged to have assaulted a six-year-old boy in Alice Springs on Monday night.

Alice Springs Detectives continue to investigate the incident in which the boy was assaulted by an unknown man.

The boy told his mother he had been riding his bike when he was approached by an unknown man who enticed him into bushes on the corner of Smith Street and Lovegrove Drive and allegedly assaulted him.

Police appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of the Lovegrove Drive - Smith Street intersection between 6pm and 6.30pm on Monday 4 May and who may have seen a boy riding his bike in the area to come forward.

The man is described as being of Aboriginal appearance wearing a dark coloured long-sleeved shirt and black faded jeans and appeared about 40-years-old.
