It is alleged the two males approached the 29-year-old victim on Lambell terrace, Darwin City at around 2:00 am. There they confronted the male and assaulted him.

The victim's wallet and mobile phone were stolen by the pair before they fled the area in a nearby parked vehicle, after being disturbed by witnesses.

Police and St John personnel arrived at the scene and conveyed him to Royal Darwin Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. He has since been discharged.

General duties members later observed a vehicle matching the same description in Bakewell and subsequently arrested two of the occupants.

The 17 and 19-year-old males were conveyed to the Darwin Watch House and have been charged with Robbery in Company and were remanded in custody to appear in court today.

Police urge anyone that may have witnessed the incident or who may have seen an older model white Holden Barina hatchback in the abovementioned areas, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
