Police are seeking public assistance in relation to an assault that occurred in Darwin City on Friday 14 August.

It is alleged that at approximately 2:20 am two males, aged 23 and 24 were walking along Knuckey Street, near the Mitchell Street intersection and were approached by two males.

They were subsequently assaulted, before the offenders fled the scene.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to the assault, or who may recognise either of these males, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
