It is alleged that at around 4:40 am the two victims, aged 20 years, were walking down Briggs Street, turned onto Smith Street and stopped outside the AANT Building.

They were then approached by two females who upon establishing the victims had no cigarettes, proceeded to assault them.

One female was described to be of Aboriginal appearance, 165-170cm's tall, solid build, long dark hair worn in a low pony tail. At the time of the assault, she was wearing a dark skirt, a light grey singlet and thongs.

The other was described as of Aboriginal appearance, late teens to early twenties, 155cm's tall and thin build. At the time of the assault, she was wearing a grey long sleeved hooded jumper with a black pattern and dark coloured knee length shorts.

Both victims received cuts and bruises during the assault.

Police urge anyone that may recognise this woman, or anyone that may have witnessed the assault, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
