Police have arrested three males in relation to an assault that occurred in Parap early this morning.

It is alleged that at around 12:30 am a 54-year-old male resident of Playford Street approached a group of people that had allegedly thrown a rock onto his house.

He was subsequently assaulted by the group who then fled the scene towards Ross Smith Avenue.

Police attended the area and within a short time had located two male offenders aged 19 and 22.

Members have since located an 18-year-old male, believed to be the third offender.

All three offenders have been charged with aggravated assault and bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court 03 September.
