Arrests for unlawful entry – Tennant Creek

Police

Tennant Creek Police have apprehended 11 juveniles responsible for the unlawful entry of a hotel at the weekend.

Police received a report just after 4am on Sunday of an unlawful entry at the Tennant Creek Hotel.

It appears teenagers gained entry into the premises late Sunday night, and over several hours have re-entered the building to steal a quantity of liquor and a large sum of cash.

Police viewed security footage from a nearby business, which identified the offenders who were later apprehended.

Four youths ages 13, 14, 14 and 16 have been charged with unlawful entry and stealing and will appear in the Tennant Creek Magistrates Court later this week.

The remaining seven offenders aged 13 to 17 have been referred to Juvenile Division.
