Members of the Commander's Tactical Team arrested two males ages 16 & 18-years-old yesterday.
The males were apprehended at their homes in relation to two unlawful entry incidents that occurred in Leanyer last month.
On 6 May two Leanyer premises were unlawfully entered and an estimated $33 000 worth of property was stolen.
Both the males were conveyed to Darwin Watch House and charged in relation to the following offences:
Enter a dwelling with intent x (2)
Stealing x (2)
Unlawfully damage property x (2)
The 18-year-old offender was bailed due to appear in Darwin Magistrate's Court on 16 June. The 16-year-old youth will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date
Enquiries are continuing into co-offenders and recovery of the outstanding property.
In a separate incident members of the Commander's Tactical Team arrested a 17-year-old male youth on Tuesday in relation to a number of unlawful entries that occurred in the Northern Suburbs.
Police executed a search warrant on a Patterson Street residence, locating 2.5 grams of cannabis and a number of stolen items.
He was subsequently charged with:
Unlawful entry (x4)
Stealing (x5)
Criminal damages (x5)
Trespass
He was released and is to be considered for Youth Diversion.
